Chris Albin is a
licensed Real Estate Broker
Chris
Albin graduated with his BA in Secondary Education from
Eastern
Illinois
University in
1986. He taught high school English for 10 years, nine of which
were in
Danville District 118. Starting then, Chris has
been buying houses for his own rental property
portfolio for the past 13 years, and in that time he has been on the
buy side of over 200 homes.
Chris
obtained his Real Estate Sales Person's license over 5 years ago
primarily as a way to
involve himself more deeply in the real estate transactions. As a
part-time agent Chris both listed property for clients
helping them to sell, and he helped other clients buy their homes.
He grew to prefer working with the buyers because he had such a
strong bias on the buy side of
the transaction due to his personal experience. In short, Chris
realized he "thinks like a home buyer". He is always thinking
from the Buyer’s perspective.
Chris
recognized the need for an exclusive buyer's brokerage in the
Vermilion
County
area, so he obtained his Real Estate Broker's license in early
2003. Now he operates Home
Buyer's Perspective Realty, Inc. hoping to contribute to a more
buyer friendly market.
Chris
has spent his entire life around real estate. He grew up helping
his parents develop and
maintain their own rental properties. He was taking calls, showing
houses, and signing leases for his parents as early as age
18 when his parents were traveling.
Chris
has a wife (Pam) and two sons. He is involved in his church as a
youth worker, and he helps to coach a kid's club wrestling team.
Chris serves as the down state Vice President of the
Illinois Rental Property Owner's Association and tries to stay on
top of
legislative issues that affect
property ownership.
